Pesticides, jerry cans and PPE: three uses, one structure
Farms, grounds maintenance contractors, cleaning companies and building sites share the same problem: hazardous products in jerry cans and PPE that must be kept separate, locked away and in order. Perfom cabinets with louvred doors (W 1023 mm, H 1000 or 2000 mm, from around €410) have a cylinder lock, adjustable slotted shelves and, for jerry cans, the shelf kit with separators that keeps them upright and the internal sump for leaks. The PPE cabinet keeps gloves, masks, goggles and overalls ventilated and protected from dust; the traffic red RAL 3020 version marks out fire extinguishers and fire-fighting equipment.
For plant protection products
The treatment register requires a store that is locked, ventilated and fitted with a sump: the cabinet for plant protection products and pesticides with external leak-proof sump is among the chemical storage cabinets. Large jerry cans and drums go on containment sumps.
Changing rooms and safety
PPE cabinets sit alongside lockers; the other ventilated versions are among the safety cabinets. Next to the store, a spill kit.
Frequently asked questions
Does the pesticide cabinet comply with regulations?
The cabinet is lockable, ventilated and fitted with a spill sump, which are the general requirements for storing plant protection products on a farm. Specific requirements depend on regional regulations and on the products: check with your consultant.
How many jerry cans fit in the kit with separators?
The slotted shelf kit with 2 separators is sized for 6 upright jerry cans (995x495 mm); several kits can be fitted in the cabinet on different shelves, with the internal sump underneath.
Why does the PPE cabinet have louvred doors?
To let air circulate: used gloves, overalls and masks release moisture and need to dry. The louvres keep PPE protected from dust without sealing it in.
