Tool panel: an organised workstation at a glance

A tool panel does one thing: every tool has its place and you can see at once if one is missing. It is the foundation of 5S in the workshop and costs little. Fami perforated panels are made of painted sheet steel with standard square perforation: hooks and holders can be moved without tools, and the panels mount both on the wall and on workbench uprights.

Work Look perforated panels and tool walls

Work Look perforated panels and tool walls mount above Work and Master series workbenches: two uprights at the sides of the worktop and perforated panels that serve as a support for hooks or as horizontal or inclined shelves with a retaining lip. Complete tool walls are up to 2970 mm wide; the Electric perforated panel integrates a power strip for power tools. A single perforated panel/shelf starts from around €30, the basic tool wall from around €100.

Wall cabinets and roller shutter cabinets

Above the panel you can fix wall cabinets and roller shutter cabinets: the flap-door wall cabinet keeps measuring instruments and valuable items under lock and key; the H 912 mm roller shutter cabinet opens without getting in the way of the workstation. Both mount on Work Look uprights with dedicated brackets, and the LED bar lights the worktop.

Hooks, holders and 5S Shadow trays

The tool hooks and accessories cover spanners, screwdrivers, pliers, spray cans and cables: single and double hooks, tool holders, shelves and Picking Box Air Iron Team bin kits to hang on the panel. Pikpad 5S Shadow tool holders are trays with tool outlines: they sit on the workbench, fit into Master drawers or attach to the panel with the aluminium profile.

Extendable arms and monitor mounts

Where work at the bench follows on-screen instructions, extendable arms and monitor mounts hold single or dual monitors, keyboards, Visual Box units or inclined trays within easy reach, mounted on an upright or profile. The arm rotates and extends to follow the operator along the workbench.

Where to start

For a single workstation, two uprights, one perforated panel and a mixed hook kit are enough; the rest can be added once it becomes clear what that workstation really needs. For a line of several workbenches, it is best to order complete tool walls of the same width as the workbench, so uprights and panels line up and accessories can be moved from one workstation to another.
