Flammables cabinet: locked storage and leaks contained
Paints, thinners, oils and solvents must be kept locked away, ventilated and above a sump that collects leaks from damaged containers. The Linea 391 flammables cabinet (944x540x1900 mm, around €480) has two independent compartments with double hinged doors and a cylinder lock, adjustable shelves and a 62-litre external leak-proof sump at the base. Perfom cabinets with louvred doors, supplied empty to be fitted out, take 19-litre internal leak-proof sumps and the slotted shelf with separators for six jerry cans, with sheet-steel or polycarbonate doors to see the contents.
Fire resistance
These are safety cabinets with sump and lock: they contain leaks and restrict access. If the risk assessment requires a cabinet with EN 14470-1 certified fire resistance (30, 60 or 90 minutes), contact us: we will recommend the right solution.
Alongside the cabinet
For acids, bases and plant protection products, chemical storage cabinets and pesticide, jerry can and PPE cabinets; for drums and IBCs, containment sumps; next to the cabinet, a spill kit.
Frequently asked questions
How much should the sump hold?
The reference rule is the volume of the largest container stored and at least 10% of the total: with 25-litre cans a 62-litre sump is adequate; with 60-litre jerry cans you need the external spill sump. Check local requirements with your consultant.
Is the cabinet ventilated?
Perfom cabinets have louvred doors for natural air circulation; the Linea 391 cabinet has solid hinged doors. For highly volatile products, consider placing it in a ventilated room or using dedicated extraction, which is not supplied.
Can I put flammables and acids in the same cabinet?
No, incompatible products must be kept separate. The two-compartment Linea 391 cabinet and Perfom cabinets with a dividing wall let you keep them in the same unit but in separate compartments, each with its own sump.
