Height-adjustable workbench: one workstation for several operators

A height-adjustable workbench is needed when different people work at the same workstation, when standing and seated tasks alternate or when the workpiece changes size. Work Master BR workbenches adjust the worktop from 765 to 1115 mm with perforated leg extensions: the height is set during assembly and changed when needed, without a motor. Work Up models, with 30 mm multiplex worktop, range from 732 to 1057 mm. Load capacity from 500 to 1500 kg. Prices start at around €265.

The same configurations as fixed workbenches

Work Master adjustable workbenches are available with the same drawer units as fixed workbenches: from 1 to 11 drawers, with door, widths from 1500 to 3000 mm. They can be extended with workbench components and accessories and with the tool wall.

In practice: measure the elbow height of the shortest and the tallest operator; if the difference exceeds 10 cm, or if precision work (high worktop) alternates with heavy work (low worktop), the adjustable workbench pays back the price difference compared with a fixed one.

Electric adjustment

If the height needs to be changed several times a day, via keypad and with memory settings, the solution is the Dynamic workbench, from 740 to 1140 mm, which you will find among the assembly workbenches.

Frequently asked questions

How is the height adjusted?

Mechanically: the legs have extensions with holes at fixed intervals. The position is chosen during assembly and can be changed later by lifting the worktop and moving the pins. For frequent adjustments, several times a day, the electrically adjustable Dynamic workbench is more suitable.

Does the load capacity change with the height?

No, the load capacity stated on the product page applies to all adjustment positions. On Work Master models it reaches 1500 kg with a uniformly distributed load.

Can I make a fixed workbench already in use adjustable?

For Work Master workbenches, yes: the leg for Work Master workbenches, in components and accessories, accepts perforated extensions and castor kits. Check the model of your workbench before ordering.
