Small parts drawer unit: screws and fixings on view and in order

Visual Box modules are 600 mm wide benchtop drawer units with transparent plastic drawers: 9 drawers of 78 mm for small screws, 6 of 112, 5 of 168, 4 of 206 or 3 of 242 mm for larger components. You can see what's inside without opening them, and the modules stack in columns. They cost from a few euros per module; the "small parts drawer unit" version is the metal equivalent.

Each drawer has a front for the label and pulls out completely, so the screws reach the workbench in their drawer and go back in place at the end of the job. The wall frame frees up the worktop and keeps the modules within arm's reach.

Where they are mounted

On the workbench, freestanding; on the wall, with the Visual Box frame; on shelving, with the dedicated base; above the workbench, on the uprights of tool panels or on an extendable arm. There are also shelving units pre-fitted with 72 or 102 Visual Box drawers for the fixings store.

Alternatives

For quick front picking on the line, open-fronted bins; for heavy or dirty small parts, the drawers with dividers of Master drawer cabinets.

Frequently asked questions

Can Visual Box modules be stacked?

Yes, the modules stack on top of each other in columns on the workbench. For tall or wall-mounted columns, use the Visual Box frame, which holds them in place and lets you pull out the drawers without moving the block.

Can the drawers be fully removed?

Yes, the transparent drawers pull out completely so you can take the small parts to the workstation and then put them back in place. They are made of transparent plastic, with space on the front for a label.

Which module for which small parts?

9 drawers (H 78 mm) for screws, nuts and washers; 5–6 drawers for connectors, O-rings and small components; 3–4 drawers (H 206–242 mm) for fittings, bearings and larger parts. They can be freely combined in the same column.
