Master drawer cabinet: the modular workshop drawer cabinet

The Master range is Fami's most widely used drawer cabinet system: two widths, 27 EH (about 560 mm) and 36 EH (about 720 mm), depth 726 mm, four heights (850, 1000, 1500 and 2000 mm) and drawer combinations with fronts from 50 to 300 mm. Every drawer is full-extension, with a load capacity set by the operator to 50, 75 or 100 kg, a perforated base and slotted sides for dividers. Central cylinder lock. Prices start from around €270 for the 850 mm block with 7 drawers.

Which height

The 850 mm block is used on its own or fitted under Work and Work Master workbenches . The 1000 and 1500 mm versions are the most common freestanding drawer cabinets; the 2000 mm one combines drawers below with a compartment with doors or shelves above. Models marked "PR" have adjustable shelves behind the doors, those marked "PE" have pull-out shelves.

Frequently asked questions

What do 27 EH and 36 EH mean?

EH is Fami's modular unit: 1 EH = 17 mm. A 27 EH drawer cabinet has an internal usable drawer width of about 459 mm, a 36 EH one about 612 mm. The size is used to choose compatible dividers, small bins and trays, which are specified in the same format.

What do codes like 1x50 2x75 2x100 in the name mean?

They are the drawer front heights in millimetres and how many drawers there are of each: 1x50 2x75 2x100 1x150 1x200 means 7 drawers — one of 50 mm, two of 75, two of 100, one of 150 and one of 200. Shallow drawers are for tools and small parts, tall ones for bulky equipment.

Are Master drawer cabinets delivered assembled?

Yes, Master drawer cabinets arrive assembled on a pallet, with keys. They just need positioning and, where required, fixing to the floor or wall; the internal dividers fit without tools.
