Sliding door cabinet: storage capacity without door swing

Sliding doors are the answer where a trolley passes in front of the cabinet or there is a bench: no open door sticking out into the aisle. Perfom sliding door cabinets are 1020, 1428 or 2040 mm wide, 600 mm deep and 915 or 2000 mm high, with adjustable slotted shelves, lock and 800 kg load capacity. Prices start at around €630. Versions with louvred polycarbonate doors show the contents and let air circulate: they are used for PPE, samples and quality control stations.

The doors slide on runners with bearings and are both locked with a single lock; the 915 mm high model is used as a sideboard under a window or as a base for a work surface.

2040 mm: the department cabinet

The 2040 mm model, with central dividing partition or with drawers and shelves, replaces two cabinets side by side and is used as a department store: spare parts on one side, equipment on the other. It is also the cabinet module of the Garage workshop furniture combinations, with the same finishes.

Only enough to stand in front of it: the doors slide across the front without protruding. That is why they are chosen along walkways and behind benches.

Are the polycarbonate doors strong?

Yes, louvred polycarbonate is designed for the workshop: it does not shatter like glass and withstands light impacts. It lets you see the contents and ventilates the interior; it does not protect from dust as well as a solid door.

Can the interior be divided into two zones?

Yes, the 2040 mm models with dividing partition have two independent compartments with separate adjustable shelves, each accessible from its own door.
