RK Box shelf bins: boxes that pull out

RK Box bins work like drawers: they sit on runners in small parts shelving and cabinets, pull out for picking, and a rear stop prevents them from coming out completely by mistake. Two series: RK Box Classic, 90 mm high boxes with dust cover, dividers and label holders; RK Box Air, in polypropylene, also recycled, in 3014/4014/5014 formats (width by depth 300, 400 or 500 mm) and Linea 391, with transverse dividers, front label strips, lid and stop. Load capacity up to 20 kg, capacity up to 12 litres. Prices start from around €1.

Compared with an open box, a drawer-type bin protects against dust and uses the full depth of the shelf: on a 500 mm deep shelf you store twice as much material for the same frontage.

Organising the interior

Longitudinal and transverse dividers create compartments for several part numbers in the same box; the front label strip raises the front edge and carries the label; the dust cover closes the Classic box. Packs of 16 dividers and front label strips are in the bin accessories.

Where to fit them

On ready-equipped small parts shelving or on a System ST shelving unit with a runner kit, and in lockable small parts cabinets . For front picking without pulling out, use the open-fronted bins.

What is the difference between RK Box Classic and RK Box Air?

Classic is the traditional 90 mm high box with dedicated dust cover and label holder. Air is the newer series, also in recycled polypropylene, in modular 3014/4014/5014 formats, with front label strips, dividers and lid: more combinations and a lower price.

What does 4014 mean?

It is the RK Box Air format: 40 = depth 400 mm, 14 = nominal width 140 mm (actual 141 mm, height 142 mm). 3014 and 5014 are the same boxes, 300 and 500 mm deep. Dividers and front label strips are chosen by format.

Are special runners needed?

Fami small parts shelving and cabinets come with the runners already fitted. On an existing System ST shelving unit, add the 4-runner kits for RK Box or the pairs of slides, found among the shelving components and accessories.
