Open-fronted bins: the small parts picking container

An open-fronted bin has an open, sloping front: you can see the contents and pick with one hand, even when the bins are stacked. Fami makes two polypropylene series: Picking Box Mythos, the classic stackable model, and the patented Picking Box Air, which nests inside one another when empty as well as stacking, and has a reinforced base. Sizes from 1 (for screws and nuts) to 5 (for large components and fittings), with intermediate variants 3A2, 4A2 and 4A5, capacities from under one litre to over 80, load capacity up to 45 kg per bin. Sold in multi-packs, from around €1 per piece.

Colours and labels

Grey, blue, yellow, red, green and more: the colour distinguishes departments or product families without having to read the label. The front has a label holder; transverse dividers and front label strips are in the bin accessories.

Frequently asked questions

Air or Mythos?

Same sizes and same use. Picking Box Air has a reinforced base and, when empty, nests inside one another: it saves space in the warehouse and in transport. Mythos is the traditional model, stackable only, and slightly cheaper.

Which size for which small parts?

Sizes 1 and 2 for screws, nuts, washers and small connectors; size 3 (224x354x203 mm) for fittings, bearings and medium-sized components; sizes 4 and 5 for large parts and bags. Exact dimensions and capacity in litres are on the product page.

What is the order multiple?

Open-fronted bins are sold in multi-packs (for example 12 pieces for size 3). The multiple is shown on the product page and the basket applies it automatically.
