Workbench on castors: the mobile workstation

The mobile workbench is used where the work moves: maintenance, assembly of large machines, departments with changing layouts. Work Master workbenches on castors have legs adjustable from 921 to 1271 mm, rubber castors with brakes, 40 mm multilayer beech worktop and load capacity from 300 to 750 kg; Work Up models on castors have a 30 mm multiplex worktop. Widths 1500, 2000 and 3000 mm. Prices start at around €415.

With drawers and doors

Even on castors, the workbench can have an integrated drawer unit: from 1 to 8 drawers, with one or two doors. The lower crossbar increases stability when moving. To add castors to an existing workbench, the castor kit for the Work Master leg is among the workbench components and accessories.

Before ordering, check the route: a 1500 mm workbench only fits through a standard door on its side, and with the drawer unit fitted it weighs over 60 kg empty. The adjustable legs also let you bring the worktop up to the height of the machine you are working on.

When a fixed workbench is better

For heavy work with a vice, hammer or manual presses, the fixed workbench has a higher load capacity and does not move. If you only need to move tools and materials, a tool trolley costs less than a mobile workbench.
